January 15, 2025 | 11:27PM | Mars Opposition

I finally managed to capture a decent shot of Mars tonight, thanks to it being in opposition. This gives me hope that I might eventually glimpse Olympus Mons, but since Mars rotates at nearly the same rate as Earth, the same side always seems to face me during my observation hours. To avoid pulling an all-nighter, I'll probably need to calculate when the mountain will be visible in the next few months since it will start appearing in the sky earlier each week. Of course, there's no guarantee my setup will be able to image it anyway.

Here's my capture of Mars in Opposition on January 15, 2025 hope you enjoy it!
