I went out last night with the intention of collimating my SCT but surprisingly it did not need it. I've been meaning to replace the screws with Bob's Knobs but to tell you the truth, my scope stays in collimation for so long (sometimes all year) that I kind of don't want to mess with it since I've heard that Bob's Knobs have a tendency to not hold collimation very well.
I had a few hours available to me before the clouds rolled in and got this very nice shot of Jupiter.
I kind of like leaving Jupiter as is, as it comes out of my scope and try not to color "correct" it. I think the muted tones help bring out the details. Sometimes when I run some color correction and give the planet a more orange hue, it seems to muddy it up a bit.
Here is a shot with a return to the barlow.
